Marvin
Monroe
Marvin G. Monroe, 70, of Nampa, died Friday, Feb. 28, 1992, at his Nampa residence.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday,
March 2, 1992 at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa, with the Pastor
Carl Dowell of the Bible Baptist Church officiating.
Marvin was born
July 11, 1921, at Hebron, Nebraska,
a son of Francis Gordon and Ora Pearl Hicks Monroe.
He grew up and attended grade and high school at
Belvedere consolidated school in Belvedere, Neb.
He moved to Idaho in 1943,
where he married Viola May Warren on Dec. 24, 1945, in Nampa, Idaho,
where they made their home for forty-six years.
Marvin was Pastor and a member of the Nampa Bible
Chapel for 20 years starting in 1955.
He worked as an Inspector for Armour Food Co. in
Nampa
for 33 years until he retired in 1986.
Survivors include
hi wife Viola May, of Nampa; three sons and
daughters-in-law, Donald and Paula Monroe, Daniel and Janet
Monroe, David and Brenda Monroe, all of Nampa; Two daughters
and sons-in-law, Diana and Timothy Shea of Caldwell, Deborah
and Richard Fuhriman of Boise; one sister, Erma Barton of
Nampa; seven grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and several
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call
from 1 to 9 p.m. today, March 1, and from 9 a.m. Monday
until 12 noon at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel,
Nampa.
