Minnie Partney
Graveside funeral services for , Minnie Belle Partney, 97,
of Nampa and formerly of Melba, who died Saturday, March 17,
1990, at a Nampa care center, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m.
Monday, March, 19, 1990, at the Melba Cemetery. The
Rev. Kenneth Pitts, visiting pastor at Greenleaf Friends
Academy, will officiate. Friends are asked to meet at
the cemetery. Services are under the direction of
Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa. Minnie
was born Jan. 31, 1893, at Koshkonog, Mo., to James E. and
Missouri R. Vindiver. She was reared and educated at
Koshkonog. She married Arthur W. Lee in 1911 at West
Plains, Mo. They lived in Missouri and Kansas, where
they raised 10 children. She later married Edy Partney
June 11, 1953, in Lewiston, and they lived in Oregon.
In 1962 they came to Melba to make their home. They
later retired and moved to Nampa. Mr. Partney died
April 12, 1981. She was a member of the First Assembly
of God Church. Minnie is survived by
four sons and their wives, Lawrence J. and Irene Lee,
Homedale; Buford R. and Edna Lee, Nampa; Eugene E. and
Margaret Lee, Melba; and Edward and Bertha Lee, Melba; four
daughters, Clarice (Mrs. Edwin) Knickerbocker, Neelyville,
Mo.; Lola (Mrs. Ray) Pershall, Caldwell; Lorene (Mrs.
Albert) Woolsey Jr., Mountain View, Mo.; Helen Ponder,
Doniphan, Mo.; 19 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
husbands, a brother, two sisters and two sons. Friends
may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
today and from 8 to 11 a.m. Monday.
