Sister Mary Mulryan
    Services for Sister Mary Alphonsus Mulryan, 93, Portland, formerly of Nampa, who died Saturday, Nov. 4, at Mt. St. Joseph's Residence following an extended illness, were held Monday, Nov. 5, at the Chapel of Mt. St. Joseph's Residence, Portland.
    Interment was at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Portland, under the direction of Hennessey, Goetsch and McGee Mortuary, Portland.
    She was born Aug. 1, 1891, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and was raised and educated in Salt Lake, entering the Sisters of Mercy Order in 1911 and was professed in 1914 in Pocatello.
    She received her nursing degree and served her order at St. Anthony's Hospital in Pocatello, also at Mercy Hospital in Nampa, where she founded and taught at the School of Nursing
    She also served at Mercy Hospital in Roseburg, Ore.; at St. Catherine's Residence in North Bend and at Mt. St. Joseph's Residence in Portland where she has been retired the past several years.
    She is survived by a nephew, Larence Mulryan of San Raphael, Calif., and numerous great nieces and nephews.
