Lula Frances Peck
 
  NAMPA — Services for Lula France's Peck, 74, of 211 Carrie Rex Ave., Melba, who died Thursday at a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa by the Rev. J. Harley Adams, Caldwell Friends Church, and the Rev. Kenneth A. Freitag, Fairview Church of the Nazarene.
    Interment will be at the Melba Cemetery.
    She was born Oct. 11, 1900 at Eagle, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Heron.  She was reared and attended school in Boise, graduating from Boise High School in 1919.  She then attended a teachers normal school and taught school for two years north of Star and for one year at Castle Creek.  She married Don Whitman Peck March 28. 1921, at Caldwell.  They smade their home at Melba in 1922 and had lived there since then except for nine years they spent at Eagle during the 1930s.  Mr. Peck died Oct. 22. 1972.
    She was a member of the Melba Friends Church and of War .Eagle Barracks Auxiliary No. 459, Veterans of World War I.  Heron Street in Boise was named for her grandfather.
    Surviving are six sons. Dr. Charles W. Peck, Melba, Don W. Peck, Melba, Elden K. Peck, Houston. Tex.. Leroy Bud Peck, Melba, Dr. M. Larry Peck, College Station, Tex., and Dr. Frank D. Peck, Los Angeles, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Maxine L. Gant, Minot, N.D., Mrs. Joyce Moos, Boise, Mrs. Joanne C. Fankhauser, Richland, Wash., and Mrs. Sharon Pitman, Melba; 20 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one nephew.  One son. two brothers, and one sister preceded her in death.
