Jack O'Very
    Jack O'Very, 52, of Nampa, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1993, at his home after a two-year battle with cancer.  Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. today, Aug. 29, 1993, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  The funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 1993, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, with the Rev. Paul Mathews, S.M., presiding.  The Rite of Committal will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa,
    Jack was born Sept. 29, 1940, in Nampa, a son of George H. and Ruth Pearson O'Very, and grew up and attended schools here.  He married Olga E. Rodriguez Oct. 27, 1962, in Nampa.  He managed various retail grocery stores before he owned and operated his own grocery store, the Pik 'n Pakit.  For the last ten years, he had worked for the City of Nampa.
    He loved being with his family and shared his life with his many friends.  He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and of the Nampa Chapter of the Knights of Columbus.
    Survivors include his wife, Olga of Nampa; a daughter, Katrina, "Trini", of Nampa; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Duane M. and Edwina O'Very of Meridian, Patrick D. and Susan O'Very of Nampa and Jason L. O'Very of Boise; his mother, Ruth O'Very of Nampa; a brother and his wife, George C. and Lynda O'Very of Spokane, Wash.; two grandchildren, John O'Very, of Chapman, Kan., and Caitlyn O'Very of Nampa and many other family members.
    He was preceded in death by his father.
    Memorials may be made to the Mountain States Tumor Institute, West, 308 East Hawaii Ave., Nampa, 83686, or flowers may be sent.
    Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today and until 1:30 p.m. on Monday at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
