Rosary for John
Joseph "Joe" Mihan, 87, of Nampa,
who died Sunday, April 27, at a
Nampa
nursing home, will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the
Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
Private family
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday at St. Paul's Catholic Church by the Rev. Merle
J. Fisher, S.M. Private
family burial will follow at the
Mount Calvary Cemetery,
Nampa.
Mr. Mihan, a
retired farmer, was born Sept. 13, 1898, at
Cheyenne
Wyo., to John and Rose Johnson
Mihan. He was reared
and educated at Cheyenne.
He moved to Lyman, Neb.,
and resided there for several years.
He married
Laurine V. Hahesy Sept. 20, 1927, at Scotts Bluff,
Neb., and they made their home at
Lyman until moving to the Nampa-Meridian area in 1931.
He farmed here for
many years before retiring and moving into
Nampa
in 1965. Mrs.
Mihan died March 7, 1974.
He was a member
of St. Paul's Catholic
Church, Nampa, and St. Joseph's Parish, Melba.
He is
survived by two sons, Jim Mihan of Melba and Gary Mihan of
Nampa; a daughter, Mary (Mrs. Guy) Freeman of Marsing; a
sister, Catherine Crawford of California; a sister-in-law,
Violette Mihan of Lyman: seven grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded
in death by two brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call
at the Nampa Flahiff chapel today until 9 p.m. and Wednesday
from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
