Funeral services
for Herman G. Miller, 82, of Wilder, who died Wednesday,
January 3, 1996 at the Caldwell hospital will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Monday, January 8, 1996, at the Crossroads Assembly of God
Church, Wilder.
Reverend Larry Lindstrand will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Wilder
Cemetery, under the direction of
Flahiff Funeral Chapel Caldwell.
Mr. Miller was
born August 19, 1913, in
Bethel, Oklahoma, a son of William and Mary Miller.
Herman farmed in
Oklahoma
with his father. He
married Arletha Sylvester on November 20, 1935, at
Stillwater,
Oklahoma.
Herman had farmed in the Wilder area since 1943.
He worked for the J. R. Simplot Co. from 1959 until
his retirement in 1975.
Herman was a deacon at the Crossroads Assembly of God
Church in Wilder for 33 years and was involved in Men's
Ministries. For 35
years Herman and Arletha worked with and had a great love
for young people, most of whom have moved to other states
and are in the ministry today.
Mr. Miller
enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors Include
his wife Arletha of Wilder; two daughters Carolyn and her
husband Dave Sheets of Greenleaf, Idaho, and Carlene Curtis
of Boise; four brothers Lawrence, Raymond and Lloyd Miller
all of Oklahoma and Thelmer Miller in California; four
sisters Jettie Maxwell and Vera Boyce both in Oklahoma;
Margie Westmoreland in California and Exie Miller in Idaho,
three grandchildren Tim, Debbie and Steve, eight
great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three
brothers. The
family suggests memorials be given to the Crossroads
Assembly of God Church, Wilder, Idaho.
Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the
Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
