Harold Pace
Harold Lawrence Pace, 81, of Parma, died of natural causes
Friday, Oct. 18, 1991, at a Boise hospital. Funeral
services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at the
Parma Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bishop Dan Rohrbacher will conduct the services.
Interment will follow at the Parma Cemetery. Services
are under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma.
Mr. Pace was born Aug. 7, 1910, at
Bountiful, Utah, to Harold Edwin and Iva Stoddard Pace.
He married Marjorie Mann, Oct. 12, 1929, at Ogden, Utah.
She passed away in July of 1976. He later married
Lucile V. Myrick, Dec. 3, 1976, at Parma. He farmed in
the Parma area since 1946 and had been honored as Farmer of
the Year by the Nyssa Chamber of Commerce in 1986.
He took great pleasure in his hobby of growing orchids and
sharing them with his friends. Mr.
Pace was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints. Surviving are his
wife, Lucile and a daughter and son-in-law, Shirle and
Melvin R. Nielsen of Parma; a brother, Buel Udel Pace of
Fillmore, Calif.; a sister, Beth Pace Kynaston Christensen
of Farmington, Utah; eight grandchildren; 15
great-grandchildren; four stepchildren; 11
step-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren and
numerous nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by a daughter, Loann Pace in 1936 and a
grandson, Kyle Pace Nielsen in 1975.
His family suggests that memorials be made to the American
Heart Association, 1904 Blaine St., Caldwell, Idaho 83605 or
to Mountain States Tumor Institute, 151 E. Bannock, Boise,
Idaho 83712.
