Glen Munn
Glen B. Munn, 81, of Route 2, Caldwell, died Saturday, Feb.
13, 1988, at home of natural causes.
Memorial
graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb.
17, at the Greenleaf Cemetery.
Caldwell Elks Lodge No. 1448, BPOE, will officiate.
Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Cremation was under the direction of Flahiff Funeral
Chapel of Caldwell.
Mr. Munn, a retired personnel manager for J.R.
Simplot Co., was born Sept. 17, 1906, at
Fairbury,
Neb., a son of Bethuel and Retta
Fugate Munn. He was
reared and educated in the Fairbury and Lincoln (Neb.)
areas. Following the
death of his mother, he moved to the
Caldwell
area to live with relatives.
He graduated from Caldwell High School in 1924, then later attended the College of Idaho.
He graduated from the
University
of Nebraska
in 1929 where he had been active in football and basketball.
He married Rita Stedman on Feb. 2, 1930, at Waverly,
Ohio, and the couple moved to
Caldwell
in 1935. He had
worked as a personnel manager at J.R. Simplot Co. until his
retirement in 1972.
He was a member of Caldwell Elks Lodge No. 1448;
Sigma Nu and Delta Sigma Pi fraternities; members of the University of Nebraska Alumni Association; Pleasant
Ridge Grange; and the Good Sam Club.
Glen loved the
outdoors, and working on his ranch with his livestock.
Survivors include
his wife, Rita of Caldwell; two sons, Monte of Caldwell and
Sidney of Bellingham, Wash.; a daughter, Maureen Jensen of
Caldwell; three grandchildren, Leslie, Tami and
Jeff; and a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth.
Three brothers and a sister died earlier.
Memorials may be
made to Caldwell Elks Lodge No. 1448; or to the
Elks Rehabilitation Center
in Boise.
