Facundo Ojeda
Facundo Ojeda, 82, of
Homedale, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 1996, at a Caldwell
hospital. Graveside services will be
conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996, at the Wilder
Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will follow at St. Hubert's
Catholic Church, Homedale, under the direction of Flahiff
Funeral Chapel, Homedale. Mr. Ojeda
was born on Nov. 27, 1914, in Old Mexico in the city of
Ramones, Neuvo Leon. He worked as a
farm laborer in Edinburg, Texas, for over 25 years.
In April 1957, he moved his family to Vale, Oregon. In
1959, they again moved to Homedale, Idaho, where he finished
raising and educating his children.
His love of life were his children, grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. He was a kind and gentle man and
touched all who knew him and was always happy and willing to
help anyone in need. He had a passion
for gardening. In his later years, he spent most of
his pastime with flowers and all types of horticulture.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and all things outdoors were
his life. He is survived by his wife,
Celia; four sons, Al and Mary Ellen and Joe and Cindy of
Nampa, Facundo Jr. and Yolanda of Oceanside, CA, and Refugio
of TX; four daughters, Hermelinda and Uvaldo Leos of Chino,
CA, Maria and Richard Cordoba of Oceanside, CA., Josephina
and Manuel Presiodo of Yuma, AZ, and Margarita and Manuel of
San Antonio, TX.; 49 grand-children, and many, many, many
great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Antonia Goff and
an infant, Manuela. The family
suggests memorials be made to St. Huberts Catholic Church,
Homedale, or flowers may be sent.
