Frank S.
Meissner, 96, of Nampa, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1993, at his
home. Vigil services
will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at
Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa. The
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct.
30, at St. Paul's Catholic
Church, Nampa,
with the Rev. Father Paul Mathews, S.M., as the celebrant.
Burial will follow
in Mount
Calvary
Cemetery,
Nampa.
Mr. Meissner was
born July 13, 1897, at Glen Ullin,
North Dakota, a son of John and
Margaret Mattern Meissner. He
grew up and attended school there.
He married Alma W.
Muggli Nov. 18, 1919, at Glen Ullin where they made their
home for sixteen years and he worked as an interior finish
carpenter. They
moved to
Mt. Angel, Ore., in 1936 where he continued in his
vocation. They moved
to Nampa in 1956 where they have since resided.
He was a member
of St. Paul's Catholic Church and an honorary
life member of the Nampa Council, Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include
his wife, Alma of Nampa; a daughter, Sr. Agatha Meissner of
Mt. Angel,
Ore,; a sister, Elizabeth Reisenauer of Mandan, North
Dakota; four grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, and
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded
in death by one son and one daughter.
Memorials may be
made to a favorite charity or flowers may be sent.
Friends may call
until 9 p.m. today and on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at
Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel.
