Domingo Ortiz
    Domingo Ortiz, 64, of Nampa, died Monday, April 18, 1994, at the Nampa hospital of natural causes.  Vigil Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday, April 22, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, with the Rev. Father Alfred Puccinelli, S. M., pastor, as the celebrant.  Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
    Domingo was born May 19, 1929, at Pharr, Texas, a son of Stephan and Delores Escalante Ortiz, and grew up and attended school there.  As a young man, he came to Idaho where he worked as a meat cutter at Idaho Meat Packing in Caldwell for twenty-three years.  He married Julia Diaz on July 22, 1963, in Nampa where they made their home.  He later worked at the J. R. Simplot Food Processing facility in Caldwell until his final illness.
    He was a member of the Catholic Church.
    Survivors include his wife, Julia of Nampa; two sons and one-daughter-in-law, Martin and Rachael Ortiz of Boise and Amado Ortiz of Nampa; a daughter, Maria Delores lbarra of Nampa; six brothers, Martin Ortiz of Santa Ana, Calif., Gilbert Ortiz of Kennewick, Wash., Paul Ortiz of Sanger, Calif., Steve Ortiz of Manhattan, NY., Ernie Ortiz of Pasco, Wash., and Emilio Ortiz of San Jose, Calif., two sisters, Julia Ortiz of Pasco and Estella Ortiz of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jose.
    Friends may call until 9 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, and until 1 p.m. on Friday at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
