Services for
Dalpha Lucille Miller, 70, of Caldwell,
formerly of Nampa, who died
Wednesday, June 5, in a Caldwell
hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Alsip
Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
The Rev. Gene Hipskind, pastor of the
Nampa Church of the Brethren, will officiate.
Interment will
follow in the Kohlerlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller
was born on Sept. 30, 1914, in
Seymour, Mo., to Louie D. and Minnie Hargus Daniel.
She came to Idaho in 1915 with her family and they farmed
in the Scism Community and in Kuna.
They returned to
Missouri
for a short time and later came back to
Nampa
where she was reared and educated, graduating from Nampa High School.
She married
Marcus O. Miller on May 22, 1936, in
Idaho
City.
They farmed in the Boise Valley
for many years. Mrs.
Miller worked at Simplots in Caldwell
for 15 years and at the Birdseye Plant in
Nampa
for four years. She
retired in 1967. Mr.
Miller died on Jan. 2, 1969.
She moved to
Nampa
in 1974 and in December of 1984 moved to
Caldwell
where she had since resided.
At the time of her death she was assisting her
daughter in managing the Daniel Shelter Home in
Caldwell.
Mrs. Miller was a
member of the Nampa First Christian Church and a member of
the Highline Star Grange.
She is survived
by three sons, James Marcus Miller of Meridian, Jack Carl
Miller of Cupertino, Calif., and Walter Ken Miller of Kuna;
six daughters, Mrs. Mack (Lucille) ) Lanier of Boise, Mrs.
Richard (Patricia) Kugler of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Don
(Mardell) Jones of Nampa, Mrs. Edward (Linda) McConnell of
Caldwell. Mrs. Michael (Iona) Hanson of Milwaukee, Oregon,
and Mrs. Everett (Sandra) Vassar of Baker, Ore.; one sister,
Mrs. Iona Myers of Bremerton, Wash.; four brothers, Leoniel
M. "Pete" Daniel of Marsing, Linsey L. Daniel of Meridian,
Richard D. Daniel and Tom L. Daniel, both of Nampa; 22
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous
nieces and nephews. Besides
her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, three
grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one sister.

Friends may call
at the Alsip Funeral Chapel until 9 tonight and Saturday
from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
