Christopher Shawn Lang
Christopher Shawn Lang, 20, of Notus, died Saturday, June 8,
1996, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near
Caldwell.
Funeral
services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at
the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. The Rev. Don Hardenbrook
of the Oregon Trail Church of God will officiate. Burial
will follow in Lower Boise Cemetery,
Parma.
Chris
was born May 31, 1976, at Caldwell, to Pamela and
Max Lang. He attended Notus, Vallivue and
Caldwell
schools. At the time of his death, he was employed as a
construction worker.
Also killed in the accident was his beloved fiancée,
Sharon Symonds and her 16 month old son Seth. Chris looked
forward to being married and being the father of Seth.
Chris loved
the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and camping. He
also loved Harleys and dreamed of owning one someday.
He is
survived by his father and stepmother, Max and Tammi Lang of
Caldwell; mother and stepfather, Pam and Tim Cowger of
Nampa; four sisters, Angela Williamson, Nikita Lang, Candy
Kingsley and TeAwna Houston; four brothers, Sam Lang, Tim
Cowger Jr., Jason Cowger and Ben Houston; maternal
grandparents, Beth and Don Dennis of Notus; paternal
grandmother, Rose Crow of Notus; step-grandparents, Richard
and Roberta Cowger of Nampa; step- grandmother, Patricia
Yetter of Caldwell; great-grandparents, Earl and Dorothy
Cowger of Nampa and Julia Vann of Nampa; numerous aunts,
uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and a special uncle
John Cartwright. He was preceded in death by several
grandparents and numerous other relatives.
Friends
may call this evening from 5 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday from 10
p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dakan funeral Chapel.
