Alvin Morrison
   Rosary devotions for Alvin T. Morrison, 72, of Parma, who died Thursday, Jan. 30, at a Nampa nursing home, will be recited at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, Parma.
    A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caldwell.
    Father Sean Caulfield will officiate. Interment will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Wilder Cemetery, under the direction of the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Mr. Morrison was born June 14, 1913, in Caldwell, to Roy and Sodina Morrison. He was reared and educated in Central Cove near Wilder and graduated from Wilder High School in 1932. 
    He married Lois Stevenson on Dec. 12, 1932, in Ontario. Ore.  The couple made their home in Central Cove, where they farmed.  In 1957, they moved to Emmett and then to Garden Valley in 1958, before returning to the Parma area in 1961, where he had since resided.
    Mr. Morrison devoted his life to farming and loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
    He was a member of the Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the Parma Rod and Gun Club and a member of the National Rifle Association.
    He is survived by his mother of Boise; six sons, Robert Morrison of Roseburg, Ore., Richard Morrison of Kent, Wash., Thomas Morrison of Fruitland, Dan Morrison of Parma, Lynn Morrison of Homedale and Terry Morrison of Payette; three daughters, Peggy Morrison of Nampa and Patricia Lish and Kathleen Soliz, both of Parma; two sisters, Lucille Christensen of Boise and Mary Wines of Ontario; 26 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, his father, three sons and two daughters.
    Memorials may be made to the Hospice Program at Mercy Medical Center.
