Graveside
services for Theodore C. 'Bill' Martin, 81, of Wilder, who
died Saturday, Sept. 15, in a Caldwell hospital of natural
causes, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Wilder
Cemetery. The
Rev. Gary McConnell of the Crossroads Assembly of God
Church, Wilder, will officiate, under the direction of Dakan
Funeral Chapel,
Caldwell.
Mr. Martin was
born May 3, 1903, in Glasco, Kan.,
to Tyrus Canfield and Orenda May Bickford Martin, where he
was reared and educated. He
got his start in the mechanic business at
Smith Center,
Kan.
In 1921 he met
Flossie Scott near Inavale, Neb., and they were married Dec.
31, 1925, in Smith Center, Kan.
Several years later
they moved to the Boise
Valley
with their young son. They
have resided at Wilder since 1940, where they raised their
son, Eldon and their two daughters, Ardyce and Phyllis.
He was known as
'Bill' in his trade as owner-mechanic of the Martin Repair
Service at Wilder. He
loved the outdoors and spent many hours hunting and fishing.
He is
survived by his wife of Wilder; one son, Eldon Martin of
Caldwell; two daughters, Ardyce Hofeldt of
Caldwell
and Phyllis Ivie of Glenns Ferry; nine grandchildren; and
five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be
made to the Crossroads Assembly of God Church, Wilder.
Friends may call
from 5 until 9 tonight at the Dakan Funeral Chapel,
Caldwell.
