Ruth Martinez

    Rosary for Ruth Martinez, 37, of Nampa, who died Thursday at a Boise hospital, will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa, by the Rev. Merle J. Fisher, S.M., of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Paul's Catholic Church by the Rev. Fisher.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
    She was born June 11, 1945, at Wheatland, Wyo., and was reared and attended schools in that area.  She later moved to Colorado where she married Charles P. Martinez on June 25, 1963, at Pueblo, Colo.  They moved to Nampa in 1968.  At the time of her death she was employed at Treasure Valley Foods in Nampa.  She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa.
    She is survived by her husband of Nampa; one son, Charles Martinez, Jr., Nampa; five daughters, Paula Saenz, Charlene Martinez, Mellissa Martinez, Brenda Lee Martinez, and Lori Ann Martinez, all of Nampa; her father, Albert Baros, Torrington, Wyo.; two brothers, Raymond and Lorenzo Barns, both of Torrington, Wyo.; a half brother, Tony Carabajal, Denver, Colo; four sisters, Frances Gallegos, Pueblo, Colo., Jennie Hunt, Cheyenne, Wyo., Dora Ramos, Torrington, Wyo., and Phyllis Salazar, Redlands, Calif.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Her mother preceded her in death.
    Friends may call at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Nampa Monday until 9 a.m. and until 10:40 a.m. on Tuesday.
