Gertrude McCormick

    Services for Gertrude Frances McCormick, 71, Parma, who died Wednesday night in an Ontario hospital, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Kirkpatrick Memorial Community Church, Parma.  Officiating will be the Rev. Edson S. Pederson of the church.  Interment will be in the Roswell Cemetery, under the direction Of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma.
    She was born Jan. 16, 1905, at Garland, Utah.  She moved to Roswell in 1918 with her family; graduated from high school in 1922; and graduated from the College of Idaho in 1926.  She married Paul McCormick, Jan. 1, 1927, at Roswell.  They made their home in Peshastin, Wash.  They moved to Parma in 1940, where they had since resided.
    She was an active member of the Kirkpatrick Memorial Community Church and the Order of the Eastern Star No. 52, Parma.  She was a charter member of Chapter BD of PEO and was a member of the Daughter of the Nile Syringa Sorority.
    Surviving are her husband and a son, Don D. McCormick, both of Parma; a daughter, Marguerite Fry, Boise; a sister, Olive M. Troyer, Parma; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
