Gilbert McCormick

     PARMA - Services for Gilbert C. McCormick, 88, Caldwell, who died Wednesday in Canby, Ore., will be conducted at 330 p.m. Monday at Parma Dakan Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Stanley Banks. Interment will be at Roswell.
    Mr. McCormick was born Sept. 24, 1886, in Rice Lake, Minn., and moved with his parents to Idaho in 1905. The family homesteaded at Roswell. He attended the University of Idaho and the College of Idaho, where he played football. He was a veteran of World War I. He married Rae Olmstead March 8, 1918. They farmed near Roswell until 1938, when they homesteaded near Homedale. Mrs. McCormick died in 1945. He moved to Caldwell in 1968, and to Canby in June to live with a daughter.
    He was a member of Parma Lodge No. 49, AF&AM, from which he received a 50-year pin in 1968, the Scottish Rite Bodies in Boise, the El-Korah Shrine Temple in Boise, Caldwell Shrine Club, and was a former member of the Caldwell Kiwanis Club.
    Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Duane (Janice) Weeks, of Canby, and two grand-daughters, Sue Lynn Weeks of Canby and Leslie Ann McCormick of Woodland Hills, Calif,
    Friends may call at the Dakan Chapel in Caldwell Sunday evening.
