Graveside services for Emma Mae McHugh, 89, of Caldwell,
Route 2, who died Monday, Nov. 18, at the Caldwell hospital,
will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, at the Wilder
Cemetery.
John Farner, a deacon of the Episcopal Church, will
officiate under the direction of the Flahiff Funeral Chapel,
Caldwell. Friends may meet at the cemetery.
Mrs. McHugh was born Jan. 16, 1896, at White Bird, Idaho, a
daughter of Oscar and Nora Chapel Evans. She was reared and
educated in White Bird and married James McHugh on Feb. 16,
1910, at Grangeville. The couple moved to the Notus area in
1922 and had farmed in the area since that time. She had
lived at her present residence since 1940. Mr. McHugh died
in 1977. She attended the Episcopal Church, and was a
charter member of the U.S. Club of Dixie.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Jean
McHugh of Caldwell; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law,
Charles and Sandra McHugh of Caldwell; a great-grandson
Michael McHugh of Ontario, Ore.; two great-granddaughters,
Anne McHugh Blackhurst of Caldwell and Jeanne McHugh Diaz of
Peoria Ill.; four sisters-in-law, and several nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and
a sister.
Friends may call from 1 until 8 tonight and Thursday from 9
a.m. until noon at the Flahiff Chapel in Caldwell.
