Dolly Mae Holmes

    Dolly Mae Holmes, 83, of Parma, died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at a local hospital surrounded by her family who she loved so much.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at the Parma Revival Center with Pastor Floyd Cooper officiating.  Burial will follow at the Parma Cemetery.  Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at Dakan Funeral Chapel.  Caldwell.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com .
    Dolly was born in Missouri on Sept 27, 1923, to Clarence and Johnny Freeman.  She moved to Idaho as a child.  She met and married her true love John Holmes.  They moved with their family to California and lived there for a few years.  They returned to Idaho where Dolly attended the Parma Revival Center Church for 40 years or more.  Dolly loved to sing and to get together with her church family.
    Dolly is survived by her children; Clyde and Tammy Holmes, Gerald and Bernida Holmes, all of Parma; Geneva and Benny Bellew of Dos Palos, CA; and Grace Slyder of Caldwell; 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; three sisters and six brothers and many friends.
    She is preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Karen Hendry and an infant, her parents, two sisters, three brothers and great-granddaughter, Danna.
    This is not goodbye for we shall see each other again.  You will be missed.  We love you mom and grandma.
