Graveside services for Z.S. "Noche" Knight, 60, of Homedale,
who died Monday, Nov. 30, at the
Caldwell hospital of natural causes, will be held
at 2 p.m. Friday at the Fargo Cemetery
near Wilder.
Bishops Nolan Taggart and Deward Bell of the
Homedale Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will
officiate, under the direction of the Flahiff Funeral
Chapel, Homedale.
Mr. Knight was born Jan. 19, 1927, at
LaJara,
Colo., to John S. and Betsy L. Smith
Knight. He was reared and educated at LaJara.
He
was active in farming, mechanics and the machinist trade in
both Colorado
and Cali-fornia.
He married Dorothy Garrett Dec. 30, 1952, in
Mesa, Ariz.
He
worked in sales and was a foreman for a farm implement
company in Arizona
from 1950 to 1953. He
moved to California where he was service manager for an equipment
dealer in Southgate.
In 1958 he moved to
Homedale where he owned and operated Knight Tractor and
Equipment for 30 years.
He was a member of the Homedale LDS
Church; was active in the
Homedale Rod and Gun Club; and involved with the scouting
program in Homedale.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He
is survived by his wife of Homedale; three daughters,
Stephanie (Mrs. Les) Sparks and Jana (Mrs. Rick) Vertrees,
both of Nampa, and Michele Upchurch of Mesa; a brother,
Newel Knight of LaJara ; five sisters, Clarinda Sewell of
Monte Vista, Colo., and Arzella Gylling, Zatelle Spotten,
Seville Wilson and Ercel Garrett, all of Mesa ; six
grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He
was preceded in death by five brothers.
Memorials may be made to the Homedale Ambulance Fund or a
favorite charity.
