W. J. Winslow

    W. J. Winslow, 87, of Greenleaf, died yesterday in a local nursing home. He was born Nov. 23, 1875, at Marshall County, Iowa.  He was married to Myrtle Holcomb September. 24, 1900, at Bangor, Iowa. He came to Greenleaf, Idaho in 1912 where he farmed and also worked in real estate. He was active in all community affairs and was an ardent supporter of the Greenleaf Academy. He was a lifetime member of the Friends Church in Greenleaf and was treasurer for the church for many years. He was also a member of the Pleasant Ridge Grange.
    Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Winslow, Greenleaf; two sons, Marian, Coos Bay, Ore., and Oren, Caldwell; a sister, Mrs. Lula Skinner, Caldwell; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A daughter, Hulda Winslow, preceded him in death in 1949.
    Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at the Greenleaf Friends Church.  The Rev. Kenneth Pitts and Rev. Scott Clark will officiate.  Interment will be at Greenleaf. Memorials may be sent to the Greenleaf Academy. Arrangements are being made by Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel
