Rosary devotions
for Pedro "Tio Pete" Lete, 88, of
Nampa, who died Tuesday, Jan. 13, at
home, will he recited at 8 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Catholic
Church, 1515
8th St. S., Nampa.
Mass of Christian
burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday at
St. Paul's Catholic Church with
Father Merle J. Fisher, S.M., celebrating.
Burial will follow
at the Mount
Calvary
Cemetery, Nampa,
under direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Mr. Lete was born Feb. 24, 1898, at Andoain,
Guipuzkoa, Spain, to Domingo and Romano Lete.
He was reared and
attended school in Spain.
He came to the United States in 1916 to work for
his brother, Simon Lete, in the sheep business.
He had also worked
for several other sheep businesses in southwestern
Idaho, including John Ereno's ranch at
Nampa
and the Nicholson sheep ranch at Melba.
He retired in the
early 1970s and had lived with his nephew, Elias Lete, at
Nampa
for the past two and one-half years.
He was one of the
original members of the Euzkaldunak, Inc. of
Boise.
He was a member
of St. Paul's Catholic
Church, Nampa.
He is
survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces,
grandnephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews.
He was preceded
in death by six brothers and five sisters.
