Oliver M. Lyle,
79, of Nampa, died Monday,
December 21, 1992, at a
Nampa
care center. Funeral
services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, December
24, 1992, at the Nampa Fairview
Church of the Nazarene, 516 Fairview Ave.
Rev. Orval Halley,
pastor of the church will officiate, assisted by Rev, Cy
Welch, a brother-in-law and pastor of the First Christian
Church in Madison,
Wisconsin.
Interment will
follow in the Kohlerlawn Cemetery.
Services are under
the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel.
Oliver M. Lyle
was born on January 17, 1913, at
Clinton, Missouri, to John and Mary Wilson Lyle.
At a young age he
moved to Nebraska
with his family and then to
Springfield,
Minnesota, where he was reared and
attended schools. He
married Agnes R. Welch on November 26, 1937, at White,
South Dakota.
In 1948 they came to
Nampa
where they made their home.
Oliver owned and operated the Richfield Service
Station and later Lyle's Auto Sales in Nampa for several years.
He then started in
the real estate business and was involved in property
management for 20 years.
He later retired and they have resided in Nampa since.
He was an active
member of the Fairview Church of the Nazarene.
He had previously
served as Sunday school superintendent and on the Board of
Directors at Bethel Church
of the Nazarene. For
Lyle, being with his family was his greatest love.
He will be deeply
missed by all who knew him.
Oliver is
survived by his wife, Agnes of Nampa; 3 sons, Curtis Lyle
and his wife Pat, Janesville, Wisconsin, Doug Lyle and his
wife Judy, Meridian, Arnold Lyle and his wife Linda, Nampa;
5 daughters, Leota Foy, Nampa, Dorothy Bassett and her
husband Richard, Nampa, Lorraine Gibson and her husband
Richard, Twin Falls, Judy Fobes, Boise, Barbara Winter and
her husband Vernon, Caldwell; 3 brothers, Grover Lyle,
Springfield, Minnesota, Howard Lyle, Sanborn, Minnesota,
George Lyle, Fort Madison, Iowa; 2 sisters, Mable Johnson,
Hector, Minnesota, Violet Castle, Shakopee, Minnesota; 36
grand-children; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and
nephews. He
was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 sisters.
The family
suggests memorial contributions to the
Fairview
Church of the Nazarene
"Caravan Program" or flowers may be sent.

at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today until 9 p.m. and Wednesday
from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
