Mary Teresa Kinne, 65, of Anchorage,
Alaska, a former
Treasure
Valley resident, died Monday, Jan. 4,
1993, at her home in
Anchorage.
Vigil services will
be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at Persons-Flahiff
Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday,
Jan. 12, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa. Burial
will follow in Mount Calvary
Cemetery.
Mary Teresa was born May 21, 1927, in
Nampa, a daughter of Luis and Salu
Gabicagacoechea Larrinaga, and grew up and attended schools
in Nampa, graduating from
Nampa
High School in 1944.
She then attended
nursing school at Mercy
Hospital, graduating as a
registered nurse in 1947. She
worked at Mercy Hospital
and then for Dr. Frederick D. Koehne.
She married M.W.
(Wallie) Kinne Sept. 18, 1950, in Nampa. They
moved to the Lewiston-Clarkston area and she worked for
several years at St. Joseph's
Hospital, Lewiston and later
for the Tri-State Hospital in Clarkston.
They returned to the
Boise-Meridian area in 1966 and she worked as a Public
health nurse in Boise until retiring in 1983.
Wallie Kinne died
April 25, 1976. She
lived in Meridian
until 1987 when she moved to Anchorage
for three years; then back to
Nampa
in 1990. She moved
back to Anchorage in June, 1992.
Her greatest joys in life were her nursing skills and
in later years her grandchildren.
Mrs. Kinne was a long-time member of the Euzkaldunak
Organization in
Boise
and frequently chaperoned trips of the Oinkari Basque
Dancers. She was a member of St. Paul's
Catholic Church in Nampa and later of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Meridian.
Survivors include one daughter
and son-in-law,
Micaela Luis and Stephen Jones of Anchorage; her mother,
Salu Larrinaga of Nampa; a brother, Louie Larrinaga of
Boise; a grandson, Treyvlin Jones; a granddaughter, Nekane
Jones, an aunt and uncle, Marie and Joaquin Arte of Nampa;
one niece, Micaela Swanson and two nephews, Robert and John
Larrinaga.
She was also preceded in death by her father, Luis;
three uncles, Joseph, Jeff and Edward Gabica; and one
nephew, Thomas Larrinaga.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 9
p.m. on Monday, and 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at
Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel,
Nampa.
