Services for Inga Jones, Caldwell, who died Tuesday, Aug. 7,
at a Caldwell hospital of natural causes, will be conducted
at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Pastor Marvin Green of Boise will officiate. Interment will
be at the Wilder Cemetery, Wilder.
Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 1, 1894 in Knox County, Neb., to
Anna and Peter Isaacson.
She was educated in a rural school in Knox County and
attended Niobrara High School and Albion Normal in Nebraska.
On Sept. 22, 1922, she married Clyde Jones at Butte, Neb.
They farmed in Nebraska until coming to Wilder in 1937. They
worked for the Harold Mills Farm for several years before
entering a partnership in Leavell's Grocery in Wilder. They
later owned and operated the Drive-Inn Grocery in Wilder.
Mr. Jones died Sept. 1, 1954. Mrs. Jones moved to Caldwell
in 1956 where she has since resided.
She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in
Caldwell, and was an active member in the Caldwell Senior
Citizen's Center. She was also a charter member of the
Wilder Rook Club and the Friday Pinochle Club.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cliff and
Cleo Harry of Caldwell; two daughters, Mrs. Steve (Elin)
Howard and Mrs. Louis (Sue) Clausen, Caldwell; eight
great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-granddaughter;
a sister, Miss Bertha Isaacson of Salem, Ore., and numerous
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four
brothers and four sisters.
Pallbearers, which include her five great-grandsons, will be
Lynn Proctor, Bob Clausen, Chuck Howard, Don Clausen, Mike
Perry and Jon Heckelsmiller. Honorary bearers will be
Charles Heckelsmiller, Bill Steele, Myron Kellogg, Ray
Mayfield, Gene Anderson and Roy Gilbertson.
Friends may call at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, from
4 to 8 tonight.
Memorials may be made to the Senior Citizen Center Building
Fund in Caldwell.
