Georgia May
Lovelady, 76, of Melba, died very unexpectedly at her home
on Saturday, May 18 1996.
Graveside funeral
services will be conducted at 3 p.m., Thursday, May 23, at
the Melba Cemetery.
The Rev. Lee M.
Casebolt of the Catholic Diocese of Boise will preside.
Family and friends
are asked to please meet at the cemetery.
Services are under
the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel,
Nampa.
She was born
February 11, 1920 in Lafontaine, Kan.
She was reared and
educated in Columbus, Kan.
She married Harold
Samuel Lovelady on October 6, 1940, at
Columbus, where they made their home until moving
to the
Treasure
Valley in 1946.
In 1977 they moved
to Melba.
Georgia
was well known as the creator of Georgia's famous homemade pies.
She loved life and
lived it to its fullest. Her
family was very important to her, as well as the people
around her. She
loved and grew beautiful flowers. She will be greatly missed
by her family and friends. Georgia was a charter member of the
Snake River Stampeders and a member of the Terrace Lakes
Recreation Ranch.
Georgia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law,
Larry and ‘Darlene Lovelady, Coeur d’Alene; three daughters
and sons-in-law, Barbara and Bill Howard, Nampa; Janice and
Gene Reynolds, Boise; and Debrfa and Alan Lindner, Murphy;
her mother, Ruby “Mumsie” Mooney, Boise; two sisters,
Estellen Blanchard, Baise; and Lorene Yagher, Mission,
Texas. She was
“Granma Love” to her 10 grandchildren, 37
great-grandchildren, and two great-great-children.
Her husband preceded her in death June 11, 1992.
She was also preceded in death by her father, Bruce
Mooney; two brothers, a sister, and two grandchildren.
Friends may call
at the Alsip Funeral Chapel on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 8
p.m., and on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The family
suggests memorials to a favorite charity, or flowers may be
sent.
