Frances Kissell Services for Frances L. Kissell, 78, of
Middleton, who died Wednesday, Oct. 9, in the
Nampa
hospital of natural causes, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at
the United
Methodist
Church, Middleton.
The Rev. Mark Johnson
will officiate. Burial
will be in Middleton Cemetery
under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Caldwell.
Mrs.
Kissell, an assistant county clerk, was born July 5, 1906, at
Boise, a daughter of Benjamin F. and
Ella M. Slacker Allen. She
graduated from Meridian High School
in 1924. She married Elmer D. Kissell on July 16, 1925, at
Middleton. The couple
made their home in Eagle and later in the Ustick Community
near Boise.
In 1940 they moved to
Middleton. She worked
for the Canyon County Clerk's Office in
Caldwell.
She retired in 1971.
Mr. Kissell died March
1, 1971, at Caldwell.
She was a member of
the United Methodist
Church, the Grace Circle of
United Methodist Women of Middleton, the Middleton Grange No.
6 and the Canyon County Pomona Grange No. 4.
She
is survived by three brothers, Ralph B. Allen of
Smiths River,
Calif., Paul J. Allen of Middleton
and D. Keith Allen of Eagle; four nieces; and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a
brother.
