Graveside funeral
services for Charles Curtis Lee, 51, of Payette, formerly of
Nampa, who died Wednesday, July 24, at his home, will be
conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at the Melba Cemetary with
the Rev. Clare Willcuts, Chaplain of the Nampa Sunnyridge
Manor, officiating. Friends
are asked to meet at the cemetary.
Services and
interment are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral
Chapel of Nampa.
He was born on May 18, 1934, at Fillmore, Mo.,
to Arthur and Minnie Vandiver Lee.
At the age of five
he moved with his family to southeastern Missouri where he was reared and educated.
After his schooling,
he came to Idaho and lived in the
Melba area for several years.
He then entered the
United States Army and served during World War II.
He was honorably
discharged and moved to Nampa.
He worked in
construction in the Nampa area for several
years. In 1977 he moved to Payette, where he had since
resided. He is
survived by his mother, Minnie Partney of Nampa; four
brothers, Lawrence of Homedale, Buford of Nampa, and Eugene
and Edward, both of Melba; four sisters, Helen Ponder of
Doniphan, Mo., Clarice Knickerbocker of Neelyville, Mo.,
Lola Pershall of Marsing and Lorene Woolsey, Mountain View,
Mo.; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in
death by his father and one brother.
Friends may call at
the Alsip Funeral Chapel in
Nampa
today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
