Clive Lynskey

    Services for Clive H. Lynskey, 64, of Boise, who died Tuesday. Aug. 20, in a Boise hospital of natural causes, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Melba Baptist Church, Melba.  
    The Revs. Way and Steve Fine will officiate.  Burial will be in Melba Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home, Boise.  Military honors will be provided by Fleet Reserve Association 382.
    Mr. Lynskey was born April 2, 1921, in Norma, N.D.  He was raised and educated in Texas and Oklahoma.  Clive moved to Melba in 1939.  He joined the U.S. Navy in December of 1941.  He served in the South Pacific as chief torpedo man during World War II.  He retired after 23 years of service.  He then moved to Boise and went to work for the Boise Independent School District.
    He married Catherine F. Barriatua Oct. 8, 1971.  He had since resided in Boise.
    He was a past commander VFW Post 4000 Meridian, two years; a member of Fleet Reserve Assoc. Branch, 382, 10 years; and a member of the Baptist Church in Oklahoma.
    He is survived by his wife of Boise; a daughter, Linda Guiles of Meridian; two sons, John Barriatua of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Mike Barriatua of Boise; three brothers, Derold Lynskey of Boise, Otis Lynskey of Melba and Bruce Lynskey of Nampa; a sister, Ione Fine of Melba; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    His parents, a brother, Lowell, and a niece, Barbara Fine Wold, preceded him in death.
    Memorials may be made to National Founation (sic) for Cancer Research, or to a favorite charity.
