Bessie Kroeger

    Services for Bessie M. Kroeger, 88, of Homedale, who died Sunday, Jan. 5, at the Nampa hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale.
    The Rev, Kenneth Pitts of the Homedale Friends Community Church will officiate.  Private burial will follow at the Wilder Cemetery.
    Mrs. Kroeger was born Dec. 11, 1897, in Alabama, where she was reared and educated.  She later moved with her family to Wanette, Okla.
    She married Herman Kroeger April 23, 1920, at Tecumseh. Okla.  They moved to Garden City, Kan., in 1922 and to Homedale in 1939.  He died July 3, 1965.
    She enjoyed playing cards, was an avid rock hound, did needlework and made most of her own clothing.
    She is survived by a son, Adren Ray Kroeger of Homedale; a daughter, Ruby M. Gilman of Bremerton, Wash.; a nephew, Robin Greer of Homedale; a niece, Marcella Cherry of Texas; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
    Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
    Friends may call at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale, today until 8 p.m. and Friday from 8 to 10 a.m.
