Blas Limones

    Blas C. Limones, 78 of Nampa, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 1993, at a Nampa care center.  Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1993, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa, with the Rev. Father Paul Mathews, S. M., of St. Paul's Catholic Church, officiating.  Private inurnment will follow later at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
    Blas was born Feb. 20, 1915, at Robstown, Texas, a son of Florentino and Nativida Castro Limones.  He began working as a migrant farm laborer at an early age with his parents.  He married his wife, Irene, in 1941 at Glen Allen, Mississippi.  She died in 1944.  He never remarried and continued to work as a farm laborer.  Bias came to Nampa in 1957 and had since resided here.  Due to poor health, he had been a patient in the care center for the past twenty years.
    He was a member of the Catholic Church.
    Survivors include five nieces and two nephews in the local area, Mary Loera, Nampa; Estella Gonzalez, Wilder; Sulema Mejia, Caldwell; Elena Sanchez, Nampa; Rosario Evaro, Ontario, Ore.; Tony Palacio, Sand Hollow; and Joe Pineda, Nampa; as well as several other nieces, nephews and cousins in and out of the local area.
    He was also preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
