Alberto Garza

    Rosary for Alberto Garza, 73, of Parma, who died Monday, march 16, at home, will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Hubert’s Catholic Church, Homedale, by Father Mel Sprute. Burial will follow at the Wilder Cemetery.
    Mr. Garza was born March 22, 1913, at Monterey, Mexico, and was reared and educated in Mexico.
    He married Maria C. Diaz Dec. 27, 1930, at Guadalupe, Zac, Mexico. They resided in Mexico until moving to Texas in 1950. They moved to Wilder in 1954, then to Parma in 1980.
    He was a member of St. Hubert’s Catholic Church, Homedale.
His hobby was gardening.
    He is survived by his wife of Parma; a son, Genaro Garza of Westlaco, Texas; six daughters, Cuca Gomez and Carmen Nuez, both of Caldwell, Maggie Melacara of Parma. Margarita Sanchez of Grandview, Wash., Elvaria Jackson of Houston, Texas, and Elena Garcia of Donna, Texas; a brother, Pablo Garza of Tijuana, Mexico; 26 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
