MIDDLETON SADDENED BY MRS. BRESHEARS
DEATH

Pioneer Canyon County Woman Succumbs to Illness Which Developed Suddenly Last Friday

MIDDLETON - This community was saddened Tuesday by the death of Mrs. A. J. Breshears, one of its earliest pioneers, who passed away at her home here following a sudden illness that seized her last Friday.  In spite of the best of medical care she sank rapidly until the end.
Mrs. Breshears was Miss Martha Hammack before her marriage on May 17, 1868, to A. J. Breshears.  She was born in Missouri on May 16, 1850, and at the time of her death was 6y years and 7 months of age.  Mr. and Mrs. Breshears came to Idaho in 1879, settling in Canyon county, where they have since resided.
Six children survive: F. M. Breshears of Caldwell, Mrs. F. W. Newman of Star, Mrs. F. H. Lenaghan of Middleton, Mrs. A. D. Harris of St. Anthony, Ella E. Breshears of Emmett and Arthur Breshears of Burley.  Several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.  Two grandchildren, the sons of F. M. Breshears of Caldwell, are with the Idaho troops in France.
All of the children were at the bedside with the exception of Mrs. Harris and Arthur Breshears, who were delayed on account of snow storms which blocked the railways.  Funeral arrangements will not be completed until they arrive.
