    W. R. Stevens, who has been very ill at his home for the last three weeks died very suddenly early last Saturday morning.  Mr. Stevens was born at Albion, Illinois, March 4, 1863.  At the age of three his parents moved him to Garden City, Minnesota.  In 1898 he was married to Miss Winifred Jones at Garden City and moved to Idaho in 1900, locating at Roswell where he has since made his home.  He leaves a wife and four children and a brother, John E. Stevens, of Garden City, Minn., to mourn for him.  The funeral of Mr. Stevens was held at their residence on Roswell Heights Sunday afternoon at two o'clock.  Rev. Mead of Caldwell, a very intimate friend of the family, who had preached the funeral sermons of Mr. Stevens' father and mother and one daughter, officiated, assisted by Rev. Bruce J. Giffin of Parma.  Mr. Stevens was a member of the Presbyterian and the Men's Bible class and was beloved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed in the community.  The funeral was well attended by friends from Roswell, Parma and Caldwell, Fargo and Boise.
John Stevens, a brother of Mr. Stevens and Richard Jones, brother of Mrs. Stevens, arrived from Garden City, Minn., last week.  Mr. Stevens will remain for some time and Mr. Jones will probably stay all summer.
