Walter H. Barker 

    MERIDIAN--Services for Walter H. Barker, 80, Route 1, Eagle, who died Saturday morning at a Boise hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Robison Chapel of the Chimes by the Rev. Charles Easley. Interment will be at Wilder cemetery.
    Mr. Barker was born May 21, 1891, at Guthrie Center, Iowa. He homesteaded with his parents on the Wilder Bench about 1900. He married Loretta May Kirnan on July 4, 1920, and she died August (correction-July) 27, 1929. He had lived at New Meadows from 1922 to 1927 when he moved to the Boise Valley where he had since lived. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Wilder.
    Survivors, besides his wife of Eagle, include three sons: George E. Barker, Boise; Richard H. Barker and Perry E. Barker, both of Caldwell; a daughter, Mrs. Edna A. Cornell, Meridian; six stepsons, Robert E. Foster, Houston, Texas; Glenn A. Foster, Eagle; Charles Foster, Smelterville; Vernon L. Foster, San Marcus, Calif.; Johnny E. Timmons, Meridian and Gerald W. Timmons, Eagle; four stepdaughters: Bertha Bartrop, Caldwell; Francis Hutchinson, Boise; Leona Dayton, Eagle; and Vivian Scott, Homedale; several nieces and nephews; 11 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.
