OBITUARY

Nancy E. Mayall died at the home of her son on Sunny Slope August 14, 1916, at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 22 days. She leaves to mourn their loss one son, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. She united with the church in early life and died with her trust in the Lord. She died the death of the righteous. Around her life has been woven the heart-strings of her entire family. This makes it hard to give her up, but the affliction is made much lighter in the clear evidence so often manifested in her readiness for the transition and that her rest is now in the celestial presence of the God whom she so faithfully served. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. We have stood often by the side of friends overwhelmed with affliction and grief and wept with them in the hour of desolation, but never till we were plunged deep within the shadows of an irreparable loss have we felt what it means to pass under the rod of that stern decree, bereft.

Dearest Grandmother thou has left us,
And thy loss we deeply feel,
But tis God who hath bereft us;
He can all our sorrow heal.
