Mrs. Mary Campbell Laid to
Rest in Roswell Cemetery
Tuesday Afternoon

Canyon county lost another of its prominent pioneers when death came late Sunday afternoon to Mrs. Mary Campbell , at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. McCreight, where she was cared for during her last illness by Miss Lela McCreight, R. N.
Mrs. Campbell was taken ill on Tuesday, with one of several gallstone attacks from which she has suffered, and after a few hours of intense pain seemed to be improving, until early Saturday morning, when she had a relapse and steadily grew worse until the end came at 4:30 p. m., Sunday.
Mary Angelia Dodds was born August 16, 1863, at Tranquility, Adams county, Ohio.  She grew to womanhood there and later moved to Illinois.  On October 30, 1889, she was married to Byron M. Campbell.  To this union five children were born; Mrs. Lee Fisk, Parma; Mrs. A. B. Willis, Hagerman; Mrs. Ruth Allen, Boise; and J. W. and D. D. Campbell, of Lewiston.
In 1891 the family migrated to Iowa where they lived until March, 1906, when they moved to Idaho, making their home on the Roswell bench until Mr. Campbell's death, which occurred January 29th, 1922.
Surviving Mrs. Campbell are her children, eight grandchildren, a niece, Mrs. H. C. Baldrige, a nephew, Mr. Ellis McCreight.  Mrs. Campbell passed away at the latter's home on Sunday, January 5th.
In early life Mrs. Campbell united with the United Presbyterian church, but on moving to Roswell became a member of the Presbyterian church, in which her last rites were conducted by Rev. O. P. Lawrence, a former pastor now living in Caldwell, and the Rev. Fred H. Hall, of the Parma Community church.
Funeral services were conducted in the Roswell Presbyterian church, Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. E. P. Lawrence, of Caldwell, and the Rev. Fred of Parma, officiating.
The music was furnished by a mixed quartet, consisting of Mrs. Alice Grosvenor, Miss Mirriam Dilly, Paul and Elton McCormick, with Mrs. Elton McCormick at the piano.
Pallbearers were Claire Baldridge, Raymond Price, James McCreight, Clint Allen, Blake Lowell and Ernest Fisk.
Interment was in the family plot in the Roswell cemetery.
