Rites Arranged for
Mrs. Barker

    CALDWELL---Services for Mrs. Miranda Almina Barker, 95, who died at the home of a son, Harry Barker, Parma, Sunday morning, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Wilder Methodist church with Rev. Wayne Brown officiating. Interment was at Wilder.
    Mrs. Barker was born at Weyauwega, Wis. She married Benjamin H. Barker at the age of 17 and moved to Maine and from there to Menlo, Iowa. The couple moved to Star, Idaho, in 1908. After one year at Star, the family moved to Wilder where they homesteaded on the Wilder bench two miles north of Allen Dale crossing. She helped organize the Wilder Methodist Church and Sunday School and Wilder Cemetery District. Mr. Barker preceded her in death in 1921.
    Survivors include four sons: Harry Barker, Parma; Walter Barker, Wilder; George Barker, Panora, Iowa; and Eugene Barker, Guthrie Center, Iowa; a daughter, Josephine Ragsdale, New Plymouth; two brothers, Frank Thierman, Ontario, California; Charley Thierman, Menlo, Iowa; and a sister Martha A. Towne, Pomona, California.
    There are 26 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
