Pleasant Ridge News

Mrs. Morton, mother of Rev. Jake Mussell, of Caldwell, died at the Mussell home in Caldwell Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock of heart trouble.  Mrs. Norton was 78 years old and was the mother of eleven children, only four having reached maturity, three of whom are now living, Mrs. Ada Mussell of Caldwell, E. L. Norton of Boise, and Fred Norton, an assayer of Elko, Nev.  Grandma Norton, as she was called, was a good christian mother and was always looking for an opportunity to lighten the burden of her fellow beings.  Funeral services were held in the church Friday at 2 p. m.  Rev. Helman officiated.  Interment in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.  Grandma Norton was one of the pioneers of Silver City in the early sixties, and knew many of the hardships of pioneer life in Idaho.  Peace to her ashes.
