HOMEPAGE

Mr. Jacob Plowhead quietly passed into the eternal beyond last Friday, Jan. 6th, at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise, after a steady decline of several months. The remains were brought home Sunday. Funeral services were held from the Baptist church. Rev. Boone delivered the funeral address, in which many words of encouragement and sympathy were directed to the mourners. From the church the remains were taken to the cemetery for interment. In a short service there the last respects were paid to one of the earliest settlers of this community. For more than forty years Mr. Plowhead was a resident of Middleton, and during that time won the esteem and respect of all with whom he came in contact. In the building up of schools and all public improvements the aid of Mr. Plowhead was permanently depended upon. Deceased was born in Switzerland. His age was seventy-one years. The bereaved family are: Mrs. Plowhead, Lillian, Bertha, Wm. T. of Middleton, Edward of Boise and John of Caldwell. The community extends sincerest sympathy to the family.
