Joseph Edwin Priddy

     Joseph Edwin Priddy, 86, of Star, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 1994, of a massive stroke.
    Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Summers Funeral Homes, Eagle Chapel.
    Mr. Priddy was born Sept. 12, 1907, at Amherst, Neb., a son of Edwin and Bertha Priddy. He married Alma Halkyard on Aug. 7, 1931. He worked at Kaufman/Wernert while living in Kearney, Neb.
    With a young wife and three small children, he moved from Kearney to Idaho in 1943. He was a baker for Splendid Bakery until retiring.
    He was baptized in the Methodist Church in Meridian.
    Mr. Priddy loved to catfish on the Snake River, and enjoyed making candy at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
    Survivors include children, Patricia Maslonka of Eagle, Sandra Wetzel of Boise, Carol Vaughn of Boise and Janet Owsley of Orofino; grandchildren, Gary Maslonka and Gale Maslonka, Gwenn Lane, Andrew and Deborah Wetzel, Melissa Vaughn, David, Dennis, Dean and Darren Owsley; 11 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Emma Tanner of Venita, Okla., Roberta David of Aurora, Colo., and Charlotte Baker of Boise. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Else.
    Family and friends may call today from noon until time of services at Summers Funeral Homes, Eagle Chapel.
