Bryon M. Campbell

Bryon M. Campbell, who for the past three years has been a constant and ever patient sufferer, passed away Sunday afternoon at the family home on the Fruit Tract.
Stricken in March of 1919 with an apoplectic stroke and the following spring the discovery of a cancer on the upper jaw, the development of which was too far advanced to make practical an operation, Mr. Campbell suffered intensely.  During the last 35 weeks he was bedridden, and constantly at his side was the ever faithful wife, on whom the burden has been most severe.
Coming to Roswell in the spring of 1906, Mr. Campbell has been active in church and community activities, always anxious for the opportunity to assist those less fortunately situated.
He was born Sept. 30, 1855 in McLain county, near Bloomington, Illinois and died January 29, 1922, at Roswell.
Surviving him are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. R. Lee Fisk, Mrs. Roy Allen of Parma, Mrs. A. B. Willis of Roswell, and two sons, J. Wilson at home and Dale D. of Parma, and four sisters, Mrs. Mollie Gaddis, Prescott, Iowa; Mrs. W. L. McNeil, Ames, Iowa; Mrs. H. M. Benson, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Ollie Park of Parma, beside a multitude of sincere friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from Sterry Memorial church, Rev. John Ryan Welch, officiating.  The arrangements were carried out as he had planned, some time ago. k Music was furnished by a male quartette, E. T. Rice and Henry Rose of Parma, E. W. Rice and Don H. Stevens of Roswell.
Those acting as pallbearers were; Roc. Helm, of Caldwell, F. L. Dickerson, L. O. Wamstad, Edgar Dilley, Lester C. Murray and S. G. Tuning.
The casket was completely surrounded by floral offerings, of friends, silently manifesting the deep regard for the departed.
