    Garlick Funeral Services Will be Held Here Monday

    Bert Elihu Garlick, 81, died in a local hospital at 1:30 p.m. yesterday. He was born November 26, 1866 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, moved from Michigan to South Dakota, and to Boise from Aberdeen, South Dakota in 1900. a few years later, in 1905, he homesteaded near Wilder, and owned the original homestead at the time of his death. The family moved to Caldwell in 1942. His widow, Mrs. May Kirnan Garlick, whom he married at Aberdeen, S.D. in 1895, survives him.
    He was a member of the Wilder Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodges, having been a member of the Odd Fellows for 30 years.
    Survivors include six daughters: Mrs. Gladys Allison of Wilder, Mrs. Evelyn Walker of Payette, Mrs. Edna Bishop of Wilder; Mrs. Wilma Benham of Anderson Dam, and Mrs. Freda Hunt and Mrs. Betty Schroeder, both of Caldwell. He is survived also by three sisters, Mrs. Eva Gates, Chehalis, Washington, and Mrs. Helen Jolly and Mrs. Della Bangs, both of Long Beach, California. There are eight grandchildren, one great grandchild.
    Services will be held at Peckham Dakan chapel at 2:30 p.m. Monday, January 19 with Rev. H. H. Hayman officiating. Burial will be at Wilder.
