Tommy Rayne

Tommy Rayne was born on December 23, 1930 to Pearl and Ansel Rayne in Caldwell, Idaho.
He attended grade school in Caldwell and graduated from Middleton High School in the class of 1948. Tommy was the first country music disc jockey at KCID in Caldwell Idaho, known as " The Mournful Tommy Rayne or Barefoot Tommy Rayne. Tommy was a well known member of the String Busters Band. The String Busters had the first live television show that broadcasted weekly throughout the valley. "Always A Good Time! With Idaho's Most Popular Western Dance Band! " We will always remember how each episode started with an image of Tommy riding his upright bass. Tommy's life and upbringing was surrounded by music that was passed down from his brother Bill. Tommy's legacy of music was then passed down to his children, grandchildren and great-grand children. Anyone who knew Tommy knew that music was a big part of his life which will continue to be a big part of any of his family gatherings.
Tommy was a Brand Inspector for ten years. He continued with his love of horses by joining his lifelong friend Gary Seal and starting their adventure in Rayne & Seal Enterprises. He was later joined in this adventure by his brother Jerry and they became quite well known for their Horse Trading, Indian Rodeos and later for their Lumber investments with their older brother Bob. Tommy and Bobbi spent his later years on a small farm in Canyon County enjoying their families and animals.
Tommy married Lois Gibson and they had four children Steve, Pam, Annette and Sherry. Tommy later married Bobbi Hartman who had two daughters Shelli and Sherri.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Ansel and Pearl. His first wife Lois. His daughter Pam, his sisters, June, Ellen, and Shirley, his brothers Billy, Jimmy and Jerry.
