Murrel Swigert

    Murrel O. Campbell Swigert, 84, of Nampa, died Monday, April 27, 1992, at a Nampa retirement center.  Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 1, 1992, at the Roswell Cemetery, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Mrs. Swigert was born March 13, 1908, at Springdale, Arkansas, to James N. and Mary Jane Cloer Oxford.  She was raised and educated at Springdale and married Robert M. Campbell in 1924.  They moved to  the Fruit Tract near Parma in 1930. For a number of years they worked for the Little Sheep Co. before moving to Apple Valley in 1942, where they farmed.  Mr. Campbell passed away in 1969 and she then moved to Parma.  She married Otis "Pug" Swigert January 6, 1979.  They continued to reside in Parma until moving to Sunny Ridge Retire-ment Center in Nampa.  Mr. Swigert passed away March 4, 1990.
    Mrs. Swigert was active in the Parma Senior Citizens and loved to cook and entertain family members and travel.
    Surviving are a son, J.C. Campbell of Caldwell; a sister,Pearl Threet of Bentonville, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Bradley Campbell of Boise and Terry Shefstall of Caldwell; two great-grandchildren, Corbin Campbell of Boise and Cory Stemple of Caldwell; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
    She was preceded in death by a sister, Earl.
    Her family suggests that memorials be made to the Idaho Elk's Rehabilitation Hospital, P.O. Box 1100, Boise, Idaho 83701.
