Margaret Stoehr

      Memorial services for Margaret C. Stoehr, 79, of Caldwell, who died Saturday, April 18, at home of natural causes, will he held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Boone Memorial Presbyterian Church, Caldwell.
    Dr. Donald H. Frank will officiate, under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Cremation was at an earlier date.
    Mrs. Stdehr, a retired educator and a homemaker, was born March 4, 1908, at Los Angeles, to Arthur W. and Bertha Brown Carver.  She attended Baker University and graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles. Post-graduate degrees were earned from the University of Southern California and Claremont Graduate School.  She was a teacher and administrator in the Pasadena, Calif., public schools from 1930 to 1947.
    She married Karl Stoehr July 12, 1947, and they moved to Wilder.  She helped operate the family orchard, and taught child development and teacher education at the College of Idaho.  She moved to Caldwell in 1977.
    She was a member and elder of Boone Memorial Presbyterian Church.  She was also active in many organizations including PEO, Notus Neighbors and AAUW.
    She is survived by her husband of Caldwell; a son, David Stoehr of Wilder; three daughters, Shirley Stoehr of Caldwell, Julie (Mrs. Monte) Edwards of Gresham, Ore., and Patricia Clark of Nampa; a sister, Mary (Mrs. Kenneth) Wilson of Alhambra, Calif.; a brother, Arthur William of San Clemente, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
