Services for Lyle Stimpson, 20, of Nampa, who
died Sunday, Dec. 21, of injuries sustained in an automobile
accident, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Melba Ward,
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bishop Norman Alder of the ward will officiate. Burial
will follow at the Melba Cemetery, under the direction of the
Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa. Mr.
Stimpson was born Sept. 11, 1966, at Nampa. He was
reared and educated at Melba, graduating from Melba High
School in 1984. While in high school he was active in
baseball and involved in the Future Farmers of America
program. He married Angelique "Angie" Metcald Sept. 14,
1985, in Boise. Following their marriage, they made
their home in Las Vegas, Nev., where he worked for his uncle,
Reed Stimpson, building trusses. In July, they moved to
Nampa. He worked for Aguilar Pallets in Nampa until
going to work for Kit Manufacturing a few weeks ago in
Caldwell. He was a member of the LDS
Church. He was involved in playing American Legion
baseball. He is survived by his wife of
Nampa; a son, Jacob Ryan Stimpson, at home; his parents,
Forrest and Peggie Stimpson of Melba; a brother, Jason
Stimpson of Melba; a sister, Nichole Stimpson of Melba; his
maternal grandmother, Marie Clifton of Meridian; and his
paternal grandparents, Orville and Jean Stimpson of Nampa.
Memorials may be made to Melba High School, Melba 83641, for a
college athletic scholarship. |
