Willard Smith

     Funeral services for Willard "Bill" William Smith, 71, of Greenleaf, who died Tuesday, March 22, 1988, at the Caldwell hospital of natural causes, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  The Rev. Donald Lamm of the Greenleaf Friends Church will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Greenleaf Cemetery, Greenleaf.
    Mr. Smith was born Nov. 29, 1916, in Bassett, Neb., to Charles F. and Stella Drake Smith, where he was raised and educated.  He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.  He married Darlene Fuller Dec. 30, 1950, in South Sioux City, Neb.  They came to Idaho in 1976, settling in the Greenleaf community where they had since resided.
    Survivors include his wife, Darlene of Greenleaf; a daughter and son in-law, Katherine and Charles McDonough of Greenleaf; two sisters, Lucille Williams of Nodaway, Iowa, and Beulah Stephan of Payette; a brother, Harold Smith of Dakota City, Neb.; and three grandchildren, Chris, Kacey, and Jonathan, all of Greenleaf.  He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and a sister.  The family suggests that memorials be made to the Greenleaf Friends Church, Greenleaf.
    Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Dakan Chapel, Caldwell.
